Born in New York City, Chris Paul's first artistic passion was writing and playing music. Over the years he has played with some of the best musicians in the NYC area but after moving to New Jersey in 2002, the passion he once had for writing and playing slowly began to fade and ultimately he needed to find something else to fill his creative needs. In the summer of 2007 he bought a DSLR and started shooting. The positive feedback he received really helped build his confidence, and pushed him to put himself out there and be more creative.
In July of 2008 Chris attended a networking/ shootout event called SNAPM which sparked his interest in model and fashion photography. Within a couple of months he began booking photoshoots on his own. Like most other things in his life, his approach to photography has been to be professional, have fun, and to create some great and interesting images.
Chris has very quickly built up an excellent reputation in the NYC area and has met a lot of great and very talented people that have both taught and inspired him. So far he has shot for Dementia Clothing, Suicide Girls, Emilie Jerard, Gothic Beauty magazine and has had photos published in two 2010 calendars (Pinups for Pitbulls, and Reflections) as well as the first issue of Von Gutenberg magazine.
Although his tastes tend to drift more towards the darker side of life, he doesn't let it limit his creativity which you will notice when looking through the galleries. His main interests are themed or conceptual works involving models, alternative fashion, scenic and fine art photography.
